Hyperbole and a half

I found this book on Bill Gates’ summer reading list.
His review- “Funny and smart as hell”

I checked out the author’s bio on Good Reads.
“Allie Brosh has enjoyed writing ever since her mom tricked her into writing a story to distract her from her immediate goal of wrapping the cat in duct-tape..”

Allie’s book “Hyperbole and a Half,” focuses on her childhood adventures and her struggles with depression. It is a retelling of her life through rage comics.

It is a quirky, humorous memoir. And it’s deep. The author uses crude sketches and humor to narrate stories of her struggle with depression and ADHD.

Excerpt from Image: “[I] could no longer rely on genuine emotion to generate facial expressions, and when you have to spend every social interaction consciously manipulating your face into shapes that are only approximately the right ones, alienating people is inevitable.”

What are you reading this summer?
