Creating family trees in elementary school are a nostalgic experience. Kids ask you all sorts of questions about your ancestors. Mine got a little excited with an AI tool that brought them one step closer to their great grandmother, than a photo.
MyHeritage Livestory uses AI technology to create an animated video of your ancestor telling their own life story using photos and family history information. It takes video reenactment using deep learning is one step further by adding audio.

Some find the results fascinating. Others uncanny. E.g., As much as I can remember my grandma, the portrait’s gestures are not completely authentic but fairly good for a technological simulation.
My 6yo: “Did great grandma speak such chaste English?!”
Unfortunately, my mother tongue is not one of the supported languages in the app, at this time. Maybe soon!
