Workplace ghosting seems to have become more common because of the increase in remote work. From candidates who don’t show up to scheduled interviews, who don’t arrive on the first day of work or even quit without giving notice to recruiters who don’t follow-up, workplace ghosting seems to have seeped into daily communication as well. Unanswered emails and chats is setting new spooky records.
While there maybe several measures from an organizational level (open and transparent communication policy, engaging new hires until onboarding etc.), how can we survive the workplace ghosting at a personal level?
