“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” ~Abraham Lincoln
Most of us who started working from home, in the pandemic, didn’t quite have the luxury or the skillset to sharpen our axes for #remotework. The art of remote work was one we learned on the fly. And as the world now prepares for a hybrid workplace, we may be working on teams with our colleagues who’re working from home or working from an office or another location.
In the last year of working remote, we’ve learned several lessons on how to better communicate and collaborate working in distributed teams. The journey to being a better digital team player has been long and slow. Hopefully, we’ll carry forward some of these lessons to the workplace of the future, whatever it may be.
I’ve curated a list of Tools and Techniques that I learned this past year, from friends, Valorem Reply colleagues, and the community. Powered by Microsoft is a collection of 27 Tips and Techniques across various tools that we use at work.
Also happy to learn what has worked for you. What else do you think should be added to this playbook?
